At Cattleya, we believe in a collaborative approach, where children, parents, and teachers work together as a team. To maximize the benefits of our programs, we encourage active parental involvement to reinforce the lessons taught at school, ranging from emotional regulation to following established rules.
To reach our goals, we depend on sponsors and fundraising efforts. We are also working to expand our center, as there is a growing need to serve more individuals with special needs in our communities. Currently, there are no available resources for those on the islands of Guanaja and Utila, and we are committed to filling this gap.
In 2014, five mothers of children with various intellectual disabilities recognized the lack of resources available for their children on the island.
📖🎯🌍
At Cattleya Education Center, our mission is to provide adaptive education tailored to the unique needs of children and adults with intellectual and physical disabilities.
🏫🔑💡
We aim to continue providing adaptive education through individualized intervention plans, preparing our students for adulthood, and integrating them into the workforce through our Work-Oriented Training Program.
